A Brief Report of National Pharmacovigilance Week Celebration — 2024

The 4th National Pharmacovigilance Week 2024 was organized by the Department of Pharmacology, Pramukhswami Medical College, Bhaikaka University, Karamsad. The theme of this year was “Building ADR Reporting Culture for Patient Safety.” It was inaugurated on 17th September 2024. The events organised for the week celebration from 17th to 19th September 2024 were competitions on handmade poster, e-poster, essay and reel-making competitions on various themes related to pharmacovigilance. There was a panel discussion on the theme of “Building ADR Reporting Culture for Patient Safety” in which the current scenario of ADR reporting, challenges of reporting and suggestions for improving the reporting of ADRs of the institution were highlighted. Sensitization program for nursing staffs of Sri Krishna Hospital was also an integral part of the week celebration Moreover, to create public awareness (on patients and the community), videos related to pharmacovigilance and ADR reporting were displayed at Shree Krishna Hospital. The celebration ended on 20th September with a valedictory ceremony, which included prize distribution of different competitive events and displaying the winners’ performances.
