Basal cell adenoma (BCA) is a rare benign tumor of the salivary glands that often involves the parotid gland. It is clinically similar to other benign tumors of the salivary glands, such as pleomorphic adenoma. Histopathology remains the gold standard for definitive diagnosis. The purpose of this study was to report the case of a 50-year-old man who presented with a painless, firm, non-tender, mobile tumor in the left parotid gland for 2 years. A detailed history and histological examination revealed a basal cell adenoma of the parotid gland. This study also provides a review of related literature.

Key words: Parotid gland, Basal cell adenoma, parotidectomy
