Effect Of Leg and Feet Traits on Hoof Problems/or Lameness in Crossbred Dairy Cattle under Field Conditions

The present study was conducted to evaluate the incidence of hoof problems in crossbred dairy cows under field conditions of Bangalore and kolar districts in Karnataka state. Out of 456 crossbred cows studied, 129 had hoof disorders /or lameness. The traits which are heritable like rump width, rear leg rear view, rear leg set, foot angle had no significant (P >0.05) effect on the hoof disorder /or lameness but traits like rump width (P
