All that glitters is not gold

Abstract

We present herein a case of 16 years old boy who was initially managed for tuberculosis based on pleural fluid R/E and ADA levels. It was later found that he had Burkitt Lymphoma with tumor lysis syndrome when re-evaluation revealed development of bilateral pleural effusion with bilaterally palpable kidneys and deranged laboratory parameters.
