Immunologie and extrahepatic manifestations and syndromes in patients with hepatitis C virus infection

Abstract


 

Ajter the identification of hepatitis C virus, numerous studies have shown fréquent association with many immunologie and extrahepatic manifestations and syndromes in patients with hepatitis C virus infection. These syndromes and manifestations, which most frequently associated with hepatitis C virus infection are various autoantibodies and immune complexes in the serum, autoimmune thyroiditis, type II autoimmune hepatitis, essential mixed cryoglobulinemia, Sjôgren's syndrome and porfphyria cutanea tarda.[Journal of Turgut Özal Médical Çenter 2(2):241-244,1995]
