It is well known that; examination of heart valves by transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) is superior to transthorasic echocardiography (TTE). In this study we aimed to evaluate differences between TEE and TTE for measurement of aortic valve area. 3 women (mean age: 55+8) and 12 men (mean age: 58+7) total 15 patients with calcific aort stenosis were included in the study.
