A FEMALE PATIENT WITH PARRY-ROMBERG SYNDROME: A CASE REPORT+

Abstract


40-year-old woman with left Progressive hemifaciai atrophy (Parry Romberg syndrome/PRS) is reported. PRS is an unusuai condition of unknown etıology, characterızed by spontaneous and siowiy Progressive atrophy of the subcutaneous tissue and fat.

We present the findings of a patient with PRS who was observed in our ciinic for over four years. Ophthaimic and neuroiogic invoivements are reviewed. The patient presented with progression of enophthaimos associated with pseudoptosis that occured secondary to intraorbitai fatty atrophy, aiopecia, poiiosis, iris heterochromia, chronic dacryocystitis and iack of biink refiex.
