Depression, somatization and tuberculosis : a case presentation

Abstract


Depression recognised for hundred years is a cumulation of signs related to psychophysiological, pychomotor and cognitive areas. That is why in depressive disorder, clinical symptoms show a highly variable distribution. However, as depressive signs may be seen in many states other than depression,in many patients with the latter, some classic signs of depression may not be observed. In this study, a case of depression which is related to tuberculosis infection and yields enduring clinical course with its start, including and elongating to somatic signs is presented.
