Granular Cell Tumor of the Vulva

Abstract


The granular cell tumors are unusual neoplasms presumably derived from schwann cells. Vulvar occurrence of granular cell tumor constitutes about 5.3% of cases. They are poorly circumscribed and show adherence to thesurrounding connective and adipose tissue. We report an unusual case of granular cell tumors of the vulva of a 38 year old woman. Granular cell tumors are usually solitary but rarely they can be multiple. The malignant granular cell tumor is very rare. Recurrence is common
