Hepatosplenik Candidiasis: Case Report

Abstract


 

Hepatosplenic candidiasis (HSC) is a disseminated infection primarily involving spleen and liver. It is being

observed at increased incidence in haematologic malignancies espicially in acute leukemias after chemotherapy

has been administrated. Although the culture results are generally negative, diagnosis is made by showing the

pathogene in culture or biopsy. Basic approach in treatment is the use of amphothericine-B. In this paper we

present a HSC case, which is diagnosed clinically and radiologically.
