The Behavior Change Wheel (BCW) comprises steps of understanding behavior, identifying intervention options, and determining content and implementation strategies. It is commonly used in the fields of health and psychology. The BCW has three main components: Capability, Opportunity, and Motivation (COM). Capability refers to the physical and mental capacities required to perform a behavior. Opportunity involves the environmental and social factors facilitating the behavior, while Motivation entails an individual's desire and beliefs regarding performing a behavior.
The BCW incorporates nine intervention functions and seven policy categories, following an eight-step process: problem identification, selecting the target behavior, defining the behavior, identifying necessary changes, intervention functions, policy categories, behavior change techniques (BCTs), and mode of delivery.
The Behavior Change Wheel guides successful change by focusing individuals on their goals and prompting concrete steps in the behavior change process. It assists individuals in self-motivation, overcoming barriers, and achieving their behavior change objectives.

Key words: biopsychosocial, behavior change techniques, behavior change, healthcare professionals, theoretical frameworks, behavior change wheel
