Triterpenoid fraction isolated from Euphorbia tirucalli Linn. ameliorates collagen induced arthritis in Wistar rats

Abstract

The present study evaluates the anti arthritic efficacy of triterpenoid fraction isolated from Eurphobia. tirucalli. Linn. (TET) in collagen induced arthritis model (CIA). TET at a dose of 100 and 200 mg /kg p.o was tested in CIA induced animals. The degree of inflammation was evaluated by hind paw swelling, arthritic index, body weight and hematological parameters.
