Proximate Composition of Some Mangrove Leaves Used As Alternative Fodders in Indian Sunderban Region

Abstract
The estuarine ecosystem of Sunderban region is endowed with indigenous mangrove fodder trees and halophyte species, which are important feed source for livestock in the concerned area. Present study shows that Avicennia marina and Derris trifoliata may be considered as alternative fodder due to presence of good nutrients and low level of tannins.
