The crude extract of whole plant was tested for their activity against a number of both gram positive and gram negative bacteria and found moderate antimicrobial activity which compared to that of a standard antibiotic kanamycin (30µg/disc). The methanolic extract of R. maritimus was investigated (250µg/disk & 500µg/disk) which showed such antimicrobial activity against from both gram positive & gram negative bacteria.
The crude extract of R. Maritimus has moderate anti-oxidant activity which can be used effectively in medicine.
