Screening time induce asthenopia among screenagers of Quetta Institute of Medical Sciences, Quetta, Pakistan

Abstract

Objective: To determine frequency and association of asthenopia among screenagers of QIMS.
Methodology: This cross-sectional study was conducted at Quetta Institute of Medical Sciences from April 2023 to September 2023. Sample size of 336 was calculated by WHO calculator. Participants, who experienced any combination of three out of the nine listed symptoms, including tired eyes, headache, glare, blurred vision, backache, eye strain, sore eyes, shoulder and neck ache, and dry eyes, were identified as having asthenopia. Chi-Square test was applied to check the association between gender and screen time with Asthenopia. p
