EXPLORATION OF HERBAL PREPARATIONS USED AS CONTRACEPTIVE IN NORTH EAST

Abstract

Exploration of contraceptive devices through natural drug and natural way has
become a dome of interest in the field of research. Though varieties of devices have been flown
to human utilization today with ultramodern technique, still a corner is left demanded for herbal
presentation with safety and durability. In spite of today’s maximum achievement through extensive
research, still the people have dependence on herbal preparations, especially in the field of birth
control. Assam is famous for its ethnic culture with rich flora and fauna witness such hidden
treasure. Exploration of such an area has opened the ways of knowledge. Few collections through
survey of tribal knowledge corroborated the revalidation at par with the present scenario.
