IMPACT OF SELECTED YOGIC PROCEDURES AS SATTVAVAJAYA CHIKITSA ON SMRITI

Abstract
Introduction: Yoga, the inherent part of Indian culture, has been subject to endless speculation over its validity, tradition and results all over the world. Smriti (memory) is term used to denote a wide array of higher intellectual faculties including memory, cognition, past sense perception, mastery in higher sciences hence is also used in metaphysics. Now-a-days there are many products available in market claiming to increase memory power. In present era, due to professionalism in every field of life good memory is very important than ever before. Therefore,this study was carried out on 30 healthy volunteers. Material and Methods: All volunteers were treated with Yoga procedures approx. an hour daily who have complain of Smritihrasa (memory loss). Duration of treatment was 60 days. Wechsler Memory Scale was adopted to assess Smriti Before and after treatment. Observations and Results: These results were found statistically significant (
