Nawal A. M. Mazen.

Abstract

The present study suggests that the beetles (Alphitobius diaperinus ; Sitophilus granarius and Tribolium confusum ) are suitable vectors for carrying cysticercoid of Hymenolepis diminuta (Cestodes) , mode of attachment and histopathological effects were studied after histological processing of rat s small parts of small intestine containing attached worms and transmission of toxogenic fungi specially Aspergillus flavus not only outside their bodies but also inside their alimentary canals and play an important role in the development of toxogenic fungi in man s food with subsequent formation of mycotoxins .

Key words: Hymnologies diminuta worm; Alphitobius diaperinus; Sitophilus granarius and Tribolium confusum beetles
