Communication Skills, Empathic Tendency and Affecting Factors of Assistant Doctors in Inonu Universty, Faculty of Medicine, Malatya [Inönü Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Asistan Doktorların İletişim Becerileri, Empatik Eğilimleri ve Etkileyen Faktörler]

Abstract

This resarch is a descriptive resarch, done for determine communication skills, and empathic tendency levels of assistant doctors experting in Malatya İnönü Universty Medicine Faculty . This resarch was fullfiled on 261 assistant doctors experting in Malatya İnönü Universty Medicine Faculty.In resarch questionnarre used designed by resarcher interrogote demographic features, and working pattern, and used communucation skills scale designed by Balcı(1996), and used empathic tendency levels scale designed by Dökmen. The datas were analyzed with using SPSS package programme. After Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used for stastistical analyze, Student t an one way annova were used on normal disturbition compatible dates, Mann Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis were used on non-normal disturbition compatible datas. The level of p0.05). Average score of empathic tendency scale is 61,33± 5,50 who works in basic science, is 63,54± 7,38 who works in internal medicine, is 64,00± 5,76 who works in surgery, and differences wern’t found meaningful between these scores. A meaningful correlation was found on scores of empathic tendency scale and communucation skills scale of assistant doctors participated to the resarch (r=0.276; p
