Objective: Physical therapy (PT) is strongly recommended for improving pain and function in adhesive capsulitis (AC) patients, however success of PT depends on tolerablity by patients. The purpose of this study was to asses the efficacy of combined ultrasound guided Suprascapular nerve blocage (SSNB) and intraarticular corticosteroid injection (IACI) protocol, on pain and function in stage 2 AC patients which is the most painful stage.
Methods: Medical records of 38 patients who were met the inclusion criteria and treated with SSNB and IACI have been retrospectiely reviewed. Patients’ demographic datas, ROM values and The American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) score, Constant Murray shoulder score and pain visual analog scale (PVAS) were examined in medical records of assessments before the intervention, at weeks 3, months 3 and months 6 after the intervention.
