Association of menstrual irregularity with obesity

Abstract

Objective: To determine the association of obesity with menstrual cycle.
Methodology: This case-control study was conducted at the obstetrics and gynecology department of Civil Hospital, Karachi from July to December 2020. Female patients seen due to menstrual irregularity having no any other obstetrical or gynecological issue (on the bases of history, examination and baseline investigations) and not taking any treatment, were included in the study. Females with mean age of 23.4±2.3 years (range 15-45) were included in the study.
