Abstract
There has been a tremendous rise in the incidence of
Diabetes mellitus and Hypertension during recent years,
probably because of altered life style of the people and
increasing psychosocial stress. The experience of last
hundred years reveals that Diabetes mellitus is largely a
preventable disease but if it really establishes in a particular
case, it cannot be cured. Although there are medications
to control it, if taken lifelong. Such a regimen makes the
victim a medically handicapped individual both in terms
of his health and in terms of the economic burden.
