This paper analysis Keynes s intellectual development on deternıination of money supply. Altlıough there is a very different Keynes from the Tract on Monetary Reform to his post-General Theory writings, his money supply approach is consistent with endogeneity of money supply. In attempting to construct an alternative (endogenous money) to orthodox monetary thought Keynes’s writings on money must be exercised carefully.
