Reverse logistics is a term referring to reverse way of doing logistics management. Reverse logistics activities include the removal, return for refurbishment, recycling for safe disposal of products. Many organizations have not focused on reverse logistics. For this reason, organizations have not established policies, systems, human or financial resources to deal with this area. It is no doubt that reverse logistics have a positive impact on a company’s cost saving and competition policies. In this aspect, this paper stresses on definition, scope, impacts on company’s cost management, essence and importance of reverse logistics.
