In this study,structural adjustment programmes, the macro-economic policies and the reforms embodied in them, have been analysed. The rates of growth and inflation in the countries implementing those programmes, together w ith the ratio of total de bt to GNP, the ratio of exports to imports and the ratio of the current account deficit to the GNP have been analysed.
