In this work, we tried to analyze the progress of the concept of competition in economic thought. Competition was considered as a dynamic process by means of a strategical matter of rivalry by clasical economists. On the contrary; in the Neo-clasical economic analysis, competition is origin of the static equilibrium. Competition, in other words, is taken as an quaranted indicator of stationaı·y state. While prices were the element of the competition in the clasical economics, in the neo-clasical economics prices were constant parametres of the function of the consumption and production. In the Schumpeterian analysis, competition was considered as a motor of the evaluation of the capitalism which is called creative destruction. Hayek defined competition as a dynamic process of the exploration from market.
