Aims & Objectives: To determine the predictors of outcome of exercise treadmill test for the diagnosis of coronary artery disease with a view to develop a model to identify those best suited for a conclusive treadmill result.
Materials and methods: Data of consecutive 502 patients referred for exercise treadmill test by local general practioners with chest pain to tertiary care setup was collected prospectively. Various cardiovascular risk factors were assessed for association with treadmill results. Pearsons chi-square, t-test and stepwise logistic regression were used for data analysis with a significant P value < 0.05.
