Determining the Level of Satisfaction of Patients in Nursing Care and Health Services

This study was conducted to determine patients’ satisfaction with nursing care and health services. This descriptive study was performed with 320 inpatients at University Hospital’s internal diseases and surgical units in July and November 2011. The data were collected by a questionnaire and the Visual Analog Patient Satisfaction Scale and the Scale of Patient Perception of Hospital Experience With Nursing. For statistical evalution , SPSS(Statistical Package for Social Science) 15 percent by using the program, the Student t-test, ANOVA and Kruskal- Wallis analysis was done with. The mean total score was 8.65±1.52 on the Visual Analog Patient Satisfaction Scale. The Scale of Patient Perception of Hospital Experience With Nursing, the mean total score was 65.90±11.00. Consequently, Patients were satisfied with the nursing care and health services.
