Zahrah Ibrahim Alsharif, Saad Saeed Alsalem.

Abstract
Ultrasound (US) is the energy of frequency exceeds the limit of human hearing; it is used as a safe and less expensive imaging modality. The US has several roles in medicine such as diagnosis, surgery, and treatment. The US also has several roles in cancer diagnosis, staging, surgery and treatment. The aim of the current study was to overview the diagnostic role of US in 3 types of most common cancers. Online research was used to obtain scientific articles related to the current subject. We obtained 82 articles, 22 articles were included, and 60 articles were excluded as they were discussing other roles of US or not focusing on the current subject. To conclude, Ultrasound has an efficient diagnostic role in lung, breast and liver cancer.
