Intraventricular hemorrhage following thrombolytic therapy with streptokinase: A case series

Abstract

Streptokinase is a widely used medication for the purpose of thrombolysis in case of acute coronary artery thrombosis despite being high risks of bleeding complications. The main reason behind it may be that it is one of the immediate lifesaving measure in cases of myocardial infarction. Keeping in mind, the post-thrombolytic measures in all such patients are need of an hour prevent such complicators. We hereby report three such cases of intracranial hemorrhage in patients undergoing thrombolytic therapy.
