Pessimism in Jaun’s Poetry

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore pessimism running throughout the poetic works of Jaun Elia. This study uses qualitative methodology of study and close reading technique in its procedural framework. Purposive sampling is used in selection of the poems explored. Moreover, it finds stark pessimism in Jaun’s poetry by analyzing some of his selected poems.
