Conus medullaris is the terminal end of the spinal cord. This study proposes to assess T2-weighted MRI imaging characteristics of 500 patients to evaluate the level of conus medullaris. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has had a major impact on showing the termination of the conus medullaris. The end of the conus medullaris was most commonly located from T12 to L2 vertebral body levels. This activity also provides an overview of the anatomy of the medullary cone, which includes structure, embryology, blood supply, and nerves, along with its clinical importance.

Key words: conus medullaris, spinal cord, conus tip, conus level
