In medicine it is very difficult to reach equilibrium levels that can meet well the various health, social and ethical aspects and the medical reality must contend with the legal one.
The increase over the last 20 years, in court cases against of doctors, can not be explained simplistically with an supposed increase in therapeutic inausent outcomes than in the past, but rather with a radical change of thought in the community with important repercussions on the doctor-patient relationship.
