Prediction of Elementary School Students’ Career Decision Making Difficulties by Their Parental Attitudes and Guidance Needs

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether the parental attitudes and guidance needs are the important signs or not of the career decision making difficulties of elementary school students. The study group of the research consists of 574 8th grade students attending to the elementary school. In order to analyze the data of the research Pearson’s moments correlation coefficient and stepwise regression analysis techniques have been used. The personal/social guidance and educational guidance needs of the elementary school students have been found to be important signs of carreer decision making difficulties.
