This study identifies the basic characteristics of Vee and I diagrams; and examines the efficiency of such tools in developing the scientific process skills in research based science laboratory. For this purpose, following questions are sought to be answered: What is Vee diagram?, What is I diagram?, How Vee and I diagrams are organized?, What are the differences and similarities between them?, What are the studies in the education literature and the findings of such studies on the efficiency of these tools?, What are the findings of these tools for science education?
