Nanoparticles Biosynthesis and Their Utilization in Agriculture

Abstract
Agriculture provides people with food, directly and indirectly. As the world population grows, in
agricultural sciences it is important to use modern technologies such as bio and nanotechnology. Nanotechnology
has many applications at all levels of agricultural products manufacturing, processing, storage, packaging and
transport. A nanoparticle is a microscopic particle ranging from 1-100 nm to at least one dimension. In terms of
their mechanical, chemical and biological properties, nanoparticles are distinct from bulk particles. Nanoparticles
have the better biological activity, chemical reactivity, and catalytic actions that can be used for human benefit.
Due to their stability (> 90 days), biosynthesized nanoparticles are more important in the agricultural sciences as
they are naturally encapsulated by the mother protein. It may improve the prevention of stress tolerance and
membrane damage. Nanoparticles in their different sizes act differently when they can be used as defensive crops
or when they can be used as fluorescent compounds and their application can be used in the production of sensors.
Nanotechnology has become beneficial and its broad application in agriculture field is increasing day by day. Due
to the application of nanoparticles, early maturity was also found in vegetables. Nanotechnology will therefore be
an important part of the future food and agriculture industry.
