Six crossbred cows (Holstein Fresian × Kankrej) were selected in their advanced stage of gestation. The study was conducted on the selected animals from 30 days before calving to 30 days after calving. From each experimental animal 9 ml Blood was drawn in sterile heparinized vacutainer tube from jugular vein, on days -30, -15, -7 and -3 before calving, on the day of calving and on days 3, 7, 15 and 30 after calving.
