Probiotics are the live microbial supplements of food which provides various benefits for health as probiotics maintains excellent stability and the intestinal microbiota composition and boost the resistance against the infection caused by pathogens. As they offer the benefits for health more than traditional nutritional foods, probiotics can be regarded as the potential functional foods. Because of increased public awareness of the impact of food on the health, the requirement for the probiotic functional foods is speedily and gradually increasing. A healthy lifestyle also requires good eating habits. In order to immunize different lifestyle disorders, customers turned to the functional food which helps to meet the human body's nutritional requirement and protects against multiple diseases. In this regard, probiotic microorganisms generally known as the friendly microorganism plays a vital role. It develops a symbiotic relationship with the human host. In recent decades this has been important to research the functions and therapeutic efficacy of probiotics in a wide range of psychosocial conditions. This study includes the names of different probiotic microorganisms and their focus on the benefits of human health as well as reducing the risk of pathogenic diseases.
