Covid-19-related considerations in stomatology: Short communication

The rapid spread of the COVID-19 represents a major challenge for healthcare systems worldwide. Rapid and accurate diagnosis of the COVID-19 is crucial in controlling its spread. The diagnosis of COVID-19 is based on a combination of epidemiologic history, COVID-19-related symptoms, laboratory test (RT-PCR), and Chest CT scans finding. COVID-19 infection control requires a good knowledge on the transmission routes and preventives strategies. The main transmission routes in Dentistry/Stomatology include inhalation of airborne, contact transmission, and contaminated surfaces transmission. The preventive strategies must be observed before, during and after treatment. Dentists are the workers who face the greatest coronavirus risk, this remind the importance of understanding COVID-19-related considerations in Stomatology.
