Abstract

One of the factors which decrease the long term success of peripheric vascular surgery is postoperative intimal hy¬perplasia in graft. There are a lot of literature on which aspirin, other non-steroid antiinflammatory drugs, dypridamole, heparin, converting enzym inhibitors, eicosopentanoik acid and calcium channel blockers that can be used for inhibi¬tion of graft intimal hyperplasia. In this report we tried to show the inhibition effect of felodipin (PLEN DIL) which is an se¬lective peripheric calcuim channal blockers on dogs that received autogenous vein bypass. We concluded that felodi¬pin can be used in early treatment ot venoarteriel reconstructive surgery to inhibit intimal hyperplasia.
