Abstract

7th National Congress of Alcohol and Substance Dependence will be organized on 8-11 December 2011 in Papillon Ayscha Otel, Belek-Antalya by the collaboration of AMATEM Clinic of Bakırköy Research and Training Hospital for Psychiatry, Neurology and Neurosurgery and Dependence Psychiatry Association. We aim to create a productive discussion forum by views and comments of both national and international participants about prevention, diagnosis and treatment of dependence in this congress which has a main theme of ?New Horizons in the Treatment of Dependence: Developing Policies and Clinical Implementations?. I would like to remind that detailed information can be obtained from the congress web site (http://www.bagimlilikkongresi2011.com). By this issue, we leave a year behind with the renovated version of our journal and started the second year. In this issue, in contrast to previous issues, the English translations of the articles will be open to synchronous access with the original Turkish texts in the English section of the journal web site. Our deal with YERKÜRE Company which we work for translation had an important effect on synchronous publication of English translated texts with the original ones. Another important development is about indexes. New indexes continued to be added to those in which our journal is registered. By this issue, Düşünen Adam is covered by Scopus, Embase, Index Copernicus, Cabell?s Directory, Proquest Academic Research Library, DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals), Türkiye Atıf Dizini (Turkish Citation Index), Türk Psikiyatri Dizini (Turkish Psychiatry Index) ve TÜBİTAK Türk Tıp Dizini (TUBITAK?s Turkish Medical Index). I would also like to remind you that our journal is also recorded in Digital Object Identifier (DOI) system which is a kind of numbering and access system. DOI is an identifier which defines an online intellectual property or a part of it. Each DOI is unique. An object with a known DOI can be accessed by DOI system (http://dx.doi.org/). According to decree of Interuniversitary Council dated 14.09.2005, works which fulfill application at all basic fields should have been published and acceptance to publication statements are not accepted any more. However, taking the DOI number for articles published electronically is accepted for application. Articles accepted for publication at our journal and on the waiting list will appear with their DOI number at our website (http://www.dusunenadamdergisi.org/ing/aheadofprint.asp). I would like to thank again to interest and support of our authors, consultants and readers. I hope to meet at the following issue.
