One of the most notable major problems in environmental deterioration is that caused by improper handling of the treatment and transport of used lubricant oils – (ALU) of motor vehicles and motorcycles, which generate pollution and alteration in the environment; At present there is ignorance of the conditions for proper handling and disposal of used lubricating oil, by small mechanical workshops. This is due to the lack of training and awareness on the part of companies and entities dedicated to the use of this type of substances. The exposed research, seeks to contribute to the creation of transport routes that optimize the collection times of the (ALU), appropriate deliveries to the collection centers so that they carry out their process and so they can be reused for the purpose to mitigate environmental problems. Methodologically, it is a mixed type investigation in which 10% of the identified population were surveyed; Preliminarily, the lack of knowledge on the issue of the proper management of residual oils by the operational, supervision and management levels of the motorcycle maintenance business was evidenced. Likewise, a basic structured logistics model for this issue was not found in the city of Bogota.
