Today, chronic pulmonary obstruction (COPD) is the third leading cause of death in the world.
Shortness of breath, decreased lung capacity, and fatigue are major complications of this disease that impair the
quality of life of patients. Therefore, this study was conducted to investigate the effect of non-pharmacological
palliative care on the quality of life of COPD patients.This experimental study was conducted on 60 COPD
patients who were selected by simple random sampling. The samples were randomly divided into two groups of
intervention and control. Data collection tool was the standard questionnaire of SF-12 quality of life. In total, six
30-45 minutes training sessions were performed in the intervention group with non-pharmacological methods
for 6 days. Then, after discharge and a month later, the quality of life of patients was measured. The data were
analyzed by SPSS-21 statistical software using descriptive statistics (table, mean and standard deviation) and
inferential statistics (Rapid Megger test).The statistical test of Rapid Megger in the two intervention and control
