In this paper, a novel method used for designing a rectangular shaped antenna with band-notch function performance has been presented. To achieve the removal characteristics of two frequency bands WiMAX (3.30-3.80GHz) and WLAN (5.15-5.825GHz): U-shaped slots inserted in feed line & ground plane respectively. The proposed antenna has a easy structure and geometry and having the small dimensions are 30mm×35mm & it is printed on top of FR4 material substrate by the width of 1.6mm. The simulated outcome obtained from this antenna shows that it exhibits good radiation performance during the operation
