Abstract

Background: The aim of this study was to assess the nutritional status of hemodialysis patients and its associated factors using subjective global assessment (SGA) in Iran.
Methods: The study was a cross-sectional study that was carried out on 250 hemodialysis patients referred to Imam Reza hospital of Kermanshah city (Iran) in 2016. The data collection tool was a two-part questionnaire related to nutritional status of hemodialysis patients using the Subjective Global assessment (SGA) method. To evaluate the association between nutritional status and its associated factors, Univariate and multiple linear regression analysis were employed then crude and adjusted β with 95% confidence interval were calculated.
