Abstract | | | Cited by 0 Articles | Introduction: BRAF mutations (v-RAF murine sarcoma homogeneous viral oncogene B1) has been associated with aggressive phenotypes and are the main prognostic biomarkers for poor outcomes, especially in late-stage colorectal cancer (CRC). Faecal DNA testing has become a valid and reliable non-invasive procedure for the detection of CRC. This study aims to determine the relationship of the BRAF V600E mutation in CRC patients' faecal with the location, histopathology, and degree of tumour differentiation.
Material and Methods: This study used data from 43 stool samples of CRC patients at Wahidin Sudirohusodo Hospital Makassar from July to December 2019. We collected data such as age, sex, CRC location, histopathological results, degree of differentiation, and BRAF mutations. Statistical tests were performed with a Chi-squared test. The test results are significant if the P-value
