Effects of Mulligan’s mobilization with movements versus myofascial release in addition to usual care on pain and range in knee osteoarthritis

Abstract

Objective: To investigate the effectiveness of Mulligan’s mobilization with movement (MWM) and Myofascial release on pain, range of motion and functional abilities in patients with knee osteoarthritis.
Methodology: A purposive sample of 30 patients from two major hospitals of Faisalabad was randomly divided into two treatment groups. Group A, received Mulligan’s MWM and group B received Myofascial release. Electrotherapy and exercise program was the same for both groups. The interventional program was of two weeks (five days a week, once a day). Pain and range of motion were measured before starting the treatment and at the end of 1st, 4th, 7th, and 10th sessions. SPSS version 20 was used for data analysis.
