Objective: To assess the self-perception of aged people through eating and exercise habits, economic status, social networks, and health status.
Methodology: We studies 78 men with more than 60 years of age. The data were collected through ten Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) conducted from district Faisalabad and Gujrat. Results: The study found that Self-perception of health is an important component of observing and measuring the health status of the aged people. The older people who were taking healthy diet and were physically active, reported having and enjoying good health. Furthermore, the older people who were economically well had personal assets and had strong social network/support perceived good health and wellbeing.
Conclusion: It is suggested that the government should take initiative to provide the health benefits and opportunities to older people to remain physically active and healthy.
