Comparison of the chemical peeling of retinoic acid and mandelic acid on oiliness and hyperchromia after acne in adult women: a randomized clinical trial

Aim: to compare self-satisfaction and discomfort in the application of two types of chemical facial peeling. Methods: Randomized and controlled clinical trial consisting of 30 women with moderate facial hyperpigmentation randomly divided into 03 groups M- mandelic acid 30%, Group R - retinoic acid at 05%, L- mechanical face exfoliation. The evaluations were performed in the 1st and 6th weeks by blind investigator in relation to photography and evaluation of skin texture. They were evaluated through self-report: self-satisfaction by the GAIS scale, and the discomfort index.
