Abstract

The vigour, depth and capacity of the scientific establishment of a country is reflected in the quality of its scientific publishing. While developing countries like China and India are on the learning curve and cannot hope to compete with scientific publishing emanating from the West, it is also the case that the quality of scientific work published from developing countries leave much to be desired.
